Join Charlie O'Donnell (nextNYC) and Anthony Rosen of Propeller Industries, who has served as CFO for 60+ startups and helped raise over $500M, for a straight-talk webinar on the difference between a controller, a VP Finance, and a CFO; when fractional beats full-time; and what the swiss-army-knife hire looks like when it breaks. If you're a founder starting to feel the pull toward your first real finance hire, have this conversation before you make it.","access":{"free":null,"application_required":null},"audience_roles":["founders","operators"],"audience_orientation":"nontechnical","company_stage":"early_stage","interaction":["content"],"topics":["venture","fundraising"],"modality":"virtual","meal_context":"none","series":null,"mentions":[{"text":"nextNYC","kind":"organization","subtype":"community","role":"affiliation"},{"text":"Propeller Industries","kind":"organization","subtype":"company","role":"affiliation"},{"text":"Anthony Rosen","kind":"person","subtype":null,"role":"speaker"},{"text":"Charlie O'Donnell","kind":"person","subtype":null,"role":"speaker"}],"sources":[{"id":"nextnyc","class":"newsletter","publisher":"nextNYC","first_observed_at":"2026-05-18T11:46:56.0000000Z","last_observed_at":"2026-05-26T11:46:52.0000000Z"}],"discovery":{"first_party":[],"newsletter":["nextnyc"],"provider":null},"basis":{"audience_roles":{"founders":"observed","operators":"inferred"},"topics":{"venture":"inferred","fundraising":"inferred"},"audience_orientation":"inferred","company_stage":"inferred","interaction":"observed","modality":"observed"},"canonical_url":null,"first_seen":"2026-05-18T11:46:56.0000000Z","last_seen":"2026-05-26T11:46:52.0000000Z","observation_count":2}
